Dear world,

This is Natalia aka Nat. She's awesome and from Summerwood and all the things are real and I am far too tired to think of anything super awesome to say. She's 18, a storyteller, and very loud. She has a habit of telling tall tales and making up all sorts of stories about her life, but that's just how she rolls. The closer you are to her, the more truth she'll tell you.

Here's her bio to look at. Yay for everyone!

Hello!

Hey there, I'm Mary! This is my first rpg on IJ, so forgive me if I seem clueless sometimes - I come from the good 'ol days of message boards. (Invisionfree, anyone? XD)

I'm bringing ya'll Ariel, a little mermaid with lots of relationship options.

Friends: Ariel is a curious, adventurous girl, so she would meet lots of people - in Springwood and Summerwood especially, since those are the closest to Driftwood. She's been going to land for five years now, so she would ostensibly have a few friends already, and I'm all for backstory rp. She LOVES everyone and LOVES meeting new people and is SO EXITED about it.

...Also, a mermaid friend or two would be nice :)

Family: In addition to being the neice of the mermaid queen, Ariel's the youngest child, of an as-of-yet undertermined number. I'd like her to have at least two older siblings, and since Mermaids can live to be quite old, I'd imagine it wouldn't be uncommon to have a decade or more in between children, so ages are up to you as long as they're older than 17.

Greetings people of earth, my name is Dan. And I'm awesome. I am brand spankin' new, and I come bringing in a terrible, bad ass of a pirate. His name is Edward Teach, but everyone else mostly knows him as Blackbeard. Wish I had spooky music to go with that.

Regardless, I am at work. So I am making this quick.

He pirates around, and he visits other cities. Robs, steals, pillages. Rapes. Plunders. Destroys. Scares. You name it.

So, what do I got for plot, you ask. I tell you this. Not a whole lot! But I would love some contacts in different cities. Brothel owners. Bar owners. The like.

My aim is: shinrapower
email is good too: myjournalcrap@gmail.com

Excited to be here!

Hello

Sorry about the delayed introduction! HI!!! My name is Chelsea and I'm here to introduce my character Keely. I haven't spent too much time on Insane Journal for this is my first time on this type of role-playing. My friend introduced me to IJ just a few months ago, so I am still learning on how to post everything, but I'm slowly getting used to everything. Thank you for letting me join this group. Thank you so much!

And now onto Keely, she's an energetic little fairy from Springwood that enjoys maintaining her garden and singing either to herself or the plants. She is easily entertained and will get along with practically anyone. The moment she has your back, you won't be able to get rid of her. She is very loyal and protective of anyone that she gets close to. She tends to speak whatever is on her mind and will do whatever it takes.
I simply can't wait to start a relationship with your characters!

*waves* Hi everyone, I'm Kat, and I'm bringing in Khrysopeleia, dryad of Summerwood. She's rather dedicated to the protection of her realm, having lived through the Burning, and the war, but honestly, she's very easy going and would love to make a few friends, for those who travel her way. Unfortunately, she can't really leave Summerwood all that much, maybe a few jaunts over the border into North Winterwood, if she's feeling exploratory (which is often but she likes to deny that she's still got the curiosity of a seedling).

As a dryad, she knows pretty much everything that goes on in Summerwood, and her age lets her communicate with not only the trees but the other flora there as well. She'd be a good contact for those who are looking for information on the realm...as long as they mean it no harm. I look forward to playing with all of you!

I haven't uploaded all of my icons yet, DREAD, but this is my crazy character, Hatter. It's all in his app, but he's the brewer in Winterwood, and I imagine he supplies other realms as well. He exists in two realities in his head, FW, and Wonderland. In FW his name is Michael Jakobsen and he now runs the brewery, like I said :) He had magic since he was a kid, but it never developed properly, and no one nurtured it after his parents died. He created the world of Wonderland as a child, but the thing is, he has no idea that he created it, only that it exists. He also doesn't know which is reality, FW, or Wonderland. He also sucks people (mainly Alice characters, but I'm open to others!) into his hallucinations. He's definitely NOT the most stable character.

Hi everyone! My name is Dan and unlike so many of you, I don't believe I know anyone here yet. However, I look forward to getting to know everyone and having all sorts of fun with out characters. I'm really terrible at this intro posts but I'm going to try.

Gareth here is mildly inspired by Glinda from Wizard of Oz (or rather Wicked) hence the whole "Gareth the Good" title. He has a history with Morgana but parted ways with her two hundred years ago, at which point he came to the Fae Woods (probably in a big show of lightning and storms because he loves to put on a good show). Ever since then he has been trying to atone for his past sins by helping the people of the Fae Woods, preparing for Morgana's return at the same time. Gareth has been training other witches for years, advising the royal families and doing what he can to break curses so he has an excuse to know people all over the Fae Woods. He knows that Morgana has spies, although he doesn't know who they are, and has begun gathering his own agents to fight against her.

I'd love to get some of his agents, as well as the chief witches of the other kingdoms and anyone else that might know or interact with him.

BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW I CAN'T JUST HAVE ONE!

And seriously...me say no to a pirate? You so crazy.

Alright. This is Christian James Talbot Gabriel Charles Morissette. He does have a different name but he dropped his birth name the day he was made a pirate. Nobody knows that name except maybe a few witches...that would piss him off like no other. He is the First Mate of The Black Revenge and he is a piece of work. He takes his job seriously and will not hestitate to use violence on anyone (pirates included, female or not). The only person he won't raise his hand to is Blackbeard and Queen Morgana, who also happens to be his best friend. Talk shit about Blackbeard and be prepared to face your death.

More about mah boy here. He's an interesting one, I swear and he's not all grrr grrr all the time.

Promise. Sort of.

HELLO. ♥ I am Shi, bringing in my first. She is the alert Sleeping Beauty/Briar Rose, running around Winterwood with the name of Franziska. Her mother's side's from Springwood (and from there came her colouring). Dead parents, has an older brother who married someone she doesn't favour. Quite warm and friendly, but was very sheltered up until the age of twelve.

She has strong German and Norse influences and believes in the (Norse) gods quite a bit. Even if she may mutter something about their cock and balls at times. Except Loki, who occasionally has lady bits. As a horse.

...ANYWAY. Lines that would be adored: relations, friends, familiar faces at her work place (works for a seamstress), people she can clash with somehow. If there is a good witch who has lived in Winterwood a long time, it would be all sorts of awesome if she was the one to save Frannie's life when she was wee. I'm not terribly picky, though. WHATEVER WORKS. ♥

Hiya! I'm Lisa (like..most of you didn't know me to begin with but whatever). I am bringing in Wendy Darling, Peter's "Wife" and mother to their "children". She is originally from Springwood, of which...I still need to add the part where there is a rumour that her mother cheated on her father with someone from Winterwood..hence the blonde hair..but that is neither here nor there.

lol

so yeah.

  • 111 years old. Looks 18. Likes to say she is older than Peter..and taller too.

  • "married" to Peter.

  • Stitch-witch.

  • Really nice and playful, although when around a much more mature group, she tries to act older than she is.

  • She actually doesn't know what happens to her "children" when they disappear but trusts Peter that they are safe and taken care of which they're not. And she has never met Morgana (...right, Amy?)

  • She's protective of all her boys and loves every single one of them, Peter even more so.

  • Anything else, just shoot!

Hello my lovelies. Some of you may know me from previous games as I tend to run with a lot of the current players here but I do notice some new names of which I am excited to meet! My name is Emmy and to give you a basic run down of myself. I am 25 years old. I am interested in work in the broadcasting field but am having little luck finding jobs so am a retail worker bee. I am getting married in June. I will have long discussions about film, music, and novels if given the opportunity. I live and breathe Harry Potter (WHICH IS HOW I KNOW MOST OF YOU BUT NOT ALL) and also --

-- PETER PAN IS KIND OF MY FAVORITE CHILDHOOD STORY EVER. It is like crucial to know that about me. I take this shit seriously.

    Ahem.

THIS IS PETER. He's of course based off the actual story/archetype but has some key differences due to the nature of the game. He clearly doesn't have Neverland and we couldn't necessarily say faerie dust would help him fly otherwise everyone would be flying. So; he uses a pan pipe to help him get lifted off the ground and 'soar.' He hasn't taught anyone this. He is selfish and it is a noticeable trait.

He convinces kids to join his numbers; knowing full well Morgana will eventually take them from him and he won't see them again. He isn't confirmed on the idea that they die but he isn't stupid. He has created an elaborate lie of "It is a honor to serve the Queen when she summons you" that he tells the boys. He's essentially brainwashing his kids. It is all part of his deal with Morgana for eternal childhood.

But other then that -- it's PLAY PLAY PLAY all the time. He makes it known he's a mischievous brat and he makes peoples lives hell. It makes for a pretty damn good spy all in all; since people underestimate him typically.

Oh and he's in love with Wendy. That is not a game. The whole husband/wife thing might be but the feelings aren't pretend.

If/when we have pirates; he'll be a royal pain in their butts.

I'm SO bad at these character intros, but I think that this guy is pretty bad ass, not gonna lie. This is Rumpelstiltskin, but he goes by Connor. You can read about him in more detail in his application, but basically, he has strong powers of transformation/transfiguration. He had a wife and daughter once, but he made the mistake of using transformed coins on hedgewitch. When she found out his trick, she cursed him to live in eternal misery. His appearance was transformed, so naturally he looks like a ugly, ancient goblin, showing his true age of 162. He changes his appearance at ALL times except for while he is sleeping, so that no one knows the truth. If anyone discovers his true name, he loses all of his magical powers and his true appearance is shown for an entire cycle of the moon. Everyone (well, almost everyone) that knows his true name is now dead and gone, so he has gotten rather cocky about this.

He is the town apothecary in springwood, and is a rather miserable rude bastard, but he will gladly transform things for customers, for a price.

    Vote Saxon.

Hi hi hi. I'm Kaitlin. I know there are a few of you that know me, but for those of you who don't, I'll tell you a bit about myself.

Once upon a time, a young girl (me...clearly) was left to her own defenses in a world that was cruel and unforgiving! Fortunately that girl was taken in and raised by a gang of traveling, circus Velociraptors. In my time with these Velociraptors I became a skilled tightrope walker. Of course, as time went on, we took our show on the sea...in a pirate ship...and I changed from the tightrope to other parts of the show. We are known as the fearsome pirate-circus troupe. One day we will take over the world. Never fear. We try to be gentle as we can when it comes to devouring humans.

Now onto Ita. Ita is the love of my life a hunter in Winterwood. She was born in Springwood and left to live in Winterwood. Her morals are questionable, really, and she doesn't talk to people all that easily. She's more relaxed with people she's known for a while, but she's still not overly expressive with anyone. She lives in a hut by herself unless someone wants to pick up Saoirse Ronan from Hanna as a hunter, too and then they can be awesome people together. Ummm...THINGS! There are THINGS! I'm too tired to think things. So look here for more!

Hey there, hi there, ho there! I’m Beth and with me I’m bringing in Arachne, in her pre-spider days. Just like the original myth, this Arachne is an expert weaver with a big ol’ ego. In fact, she’s a bit beyond that even. Arachne is a self-taught stitch witch and crafts she weaves and sews can be imbued with power or intentions-- so some of that ego might be a little warranted, though, of course, hubris will still be her undoing some day. The backstory on her is that she was born into a poor farming family and after a scandal involving the son of her family’s landlord, Arachne was forced to leave home and take her skills on the road. She’s hoping to build up a reputation for herself as the greatest weaver/seamstress in all of Fae Woods and her current M.O. includes traveling through all of the lands to pickup on the styles and clothing/tapestry needs of all peoples-- and she has no qualms about ingratiating herself in communities for a while so that she can sell her crafts, no matter how strange it seems to folks that a young Summerwood maiden is traveling as a merchant all on her own.

And, oh yeah, she’s a spy for Queen Morgana but shhhhhh, don’t tell your characters that because it’s not something anyone but Morgana and Arachne, herself, are supposed to know yet. Arachne and her fellow spies don’t even know each other-- which could actually be buckets of fun for the whole family to anyone interested in spy vs. spy shenanigans.

I’m all about plotting with anybody and everybody-- and I’m particularly jazzed about the possibilities for myth/fairytale cross-pollination. Like, does Little Red Riding Hood need a magical new cloak? There’s an Arachne for that! Briar Rose need a spindle to be stabbed with? There’s an Arachne for that! Is Rumpelstiltskin looking for someone to buy the gold he’s spun from straw (or someone to taunt about the fact that he can spin straw into gold while she can’t)? There’s an Arachne for that! And those are just the weaving/sewing-based ideas I’ve had. I’m totally open for further ideas if anyone has them!

Hello everyone! I'm Kerrin and I'm playing The Big Bad Wolf. She goes by the name of Iris when she has to, but she actually doesn't know her birth name and tends to not use Iris that often. I've never been very good at summaries, so here is her Application.

She is, for all intensive purposes, a wolf and lives with the big scary Winterwood wolves. She's definitely not a nice character, not someone you would want to meet in the woods. She sees herself as far more wolf than human.

History: Iris was raised with wolves since she was a young child, and has never feared them, in fact they were all she knew from the age of 5 and up. She could not even remember her birth name, so when she did wander into town from time to time for supplies, she had to name herself for simple greeting purposes. She socialized with people in town just enough to keep her language skills, and really this was purely accidental, she would have been perfectly happy being unable to speak a word, but there are things wolves can not simply offer a young girl from time to time, and she found herself needing to go to the general store for clothing, certain food, to the blacksmith for weapons, etc.

Hunting with the pack, Iris survives like the wolves, eating raw meat, tearing at the carcass with her teeth, which have become sharper and used to such activity over time, occasionally tearing into it with her knife. It is not unusual to see her bent over a deer carcass surrounded by wolves, her face deep into the animal's flesh, eating away, face covered in blood. The only time Iris cooks is when she is not eating meat fresh from a kill, when the meat has had to be stored. When she was young she soon found that people would pay good money for animal pelts and meat, so she made a business out of it, hunting and bringing hides and meat into town, selling them for basic supplies.

The pelt she wears is a white wolf pelt, and while she can not vocalize the relationship she had in human tongue, it is akin to that of a mother figure, even though Iris had a few of those in the pack. She was the closest to that wolf, and watched her get shot one great hunt. A lone man had found the pack, the pack which Iris usually tried to hide each great hunt, finding the casualties far outweighing the fun of killing the hunters. A man found them hiding and resting in a cave when Iris was but 12 years old. Three arrows were shot into the wolf and killed her before Iris could do anything about it. Only 12, Iris's rage was no match for the man, and she sent him back to town, near death and stuttering about some crazy wolf girl. Over the years she earned the nickname the Big Bad Wolf, and she prefers it over the name she fashioned for herself, using it instead of Iris most of the time.

    [info]nixe

Hey everyone! With the game's opening coming up, I just thought I'd write a little blurb about Nixe and offer her up for friends, enemies, plots, or whatever you might be needing. My name's Casper and I'm not too skilled at playing chicks, but it's worth a shot. The mermaids here are just so tempting.

Nixe is Queen Morveren's niece, meaning that she's royalty and lives in the Castle beneath the sea. She's a bit selfish and hot-headed. Her brother is human-centric and her parents are very pro-love; Nixe is the opposite of all of that. She cares very much about her physical appearance and she would love to help other mermaids get "body mods" like her own piercings and tattoos. She's fond of the tales she's heard of Autumnwood's tribe because they sound interested in modifications. She never really goes on the land, though sometimes she'll head to the shore to have a look around. When meeting people, she tends to put on a friendly facade. The easier you are to manipulate, the more she'll like you. OH and she's not yet of-age for a mermaid so feel free to baby her and get her all grumpy.

She could use some Summerwood humans to take an interest in (be it for good or bad reasons), a few merfriends, and possibly a dryad or two to dislike! Let me know if you've got any ideas. You can also e-mail me at thelostsyd@gmail.com if that's easier. I've also got an outcast Ice Fairy in the makings (he'll be residing in Springwood), so I'm up for discussing lines/plots for him, too.
